1989年、東京生まれ。独学で12歳の頃から油彩画制作に親しむ。

 

現在、作者は光によって生じる現象を的確に表現するために、光の分析から作り出した自製の絵具・塗料類を使用して作品を制作している。

その結果、「光」「暗黒」シリーズの新たな作品群は鏡のようにも作用し、鑑賞者自身の姿も映し出すことがある。

絵画と鑑賞者の間には、光干渉と透過という２つの性質があり、単なる物を映し出す鏡ではなく、新しい意味へと改変された像や色を生み出す。

ここでの干渉とは、本来は映像信号の中にしか存在しないノイズの延長であり、予期しない信号の妨害が、想像されたものあるいは予見される未来を変えることができると気づかせてくれる。

作者は、SNS、仮想空間に様々な視覚情報が溢れる中、あくまでも絵画による表現の本質を追求し続け、「もう一度注意深くみてはどうか？」と問題提起している。

 

パンタ・レイとは、ギリシャ語で「すべては流れる(万物は流転する)」を意味する言葉で、紀元前535年から紀元前475年にかけてエフェソスに住んでいたギリシャのソクラテス以前の主要な哲学者であるヘラクレイトスの思想を端的に表したものである。 人は同じ川に二度入ることはできず、同じ状態の死せる物質に二度触れることはできないが、変化の勢いと速度ゆえに、それは分散し集まり、やがて去っていく、とヘラクレイトスは現実の不変の成り立ちについて書いている。...(略)

Yukio Takamori is working with self-made paints, born from the analysis of light to accurately express the phenomena created by light.

 

His new works in the “Light” and “Darkness” series act like mirrors, reflecting the personal image of the viewer.

 

There are two qualities between the painting and the viewer: light interference and light transmission. creating images and colors that are not simply mirrors reflecting things, but are altered to take on new meanings.

Interference here is essentially an extension of the noise that exists only in the video signal.

Unexpected interference in the signal can remind us that we can change the future we have imagined or predicted.

 

He continues to search for the essence by painting in the midst of the various visual information that overflows the Internet (social networks and virtual spaces, etc.).

Then he asks, “Why don't you look again?”
